Democracy not a partisan issue

While the United States champions democracy across the world, our own democracy is under siege. Nothing is more fundamental to democracy than the right to vote – yet there is no explicit guarantee of the right to vote in the U.S. Constitution. The U.S. ranks near the bottom of industrial democracies in voter turnout. This isn’t accidental – many states purposefully create barriers that make it difficult to register to vote or to cast a ballot. The sensible answer to this is to create — and enforce — the right to vote for every citizen.

11 Fort Bend ISD high schools will have graduations this May at the County’s new multipurpose venue

Fort Bend ISD and the Epicenter have entered into a five-year partnership to host high school graduations starting in 2024. The 2024 graduations will be celebrated on Thursday, May 23, Friday, May 24, and Saturday, May 25. Austin, Bush, Clements, Dulles, Elkins, Hightower, Kempner, Marshall, Ridge Point, Travis, and Willowridge High Schools will be scheduled across the three days of commencements. Crawford, Fort Bend ISD’s newest high school, will be added with their first graduation class in 2026.
