The African American Board Leadership Institute (AABLI) proudly announces the appointment of Kelly Redmond as its new President and Chief Executive Officer, ushering in a new era of visionary leadership and transformative impact.

With a steadfast commitment to building a beloved community and advancing Black equity, Kelly Redmond brings over 30 years of experience in nonprofit management, government, philanthropy, and cross-sector partnerships. Recognized as one of Ebony Magazine's "30 Leaders of the Future Under 30" and the recipient of the prestigious Drake University Young Alumni Achievement Award, Kelly's trailblazing leadership and dedication to diversity, equity, and inclusion have earned her widespread acclaim.

Under Kelly's visionary leadership, AABLI aims to expand the leadership ranks of the Los Angeles African American community and beyond, fostering a movement that empowers Black voices and sustains Black excellence. Virgil Roberts, Founder and Board Chairman of AABLI, expresses profound optimism about the institute's future trajectory under Kelly's guidance.

Kelly's track record of impact extends beyond her professional achievements. As a co-creator of the National Diversity Trustee Training Program and a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, she has been at the forefront of promoting justice and inclusion in governance and leadership.

In her own words, Kelly Redmond emphasizes the importance of investing in Black leadership to realize Dr. Martin Luther King's vision of a beloved community, where all individuals are treated with dignity and respect. Her passion for empowering decision-makers across sectors reflects AABLI's mission to cultivate a diverse and dynamic leadership pipeline.

Since its inception in 2011, AABLI has trained over 1,000 African Americans in board governance, with 300 actively serving on governing boards. With Kelly Redmond at the helm, the institute is poised to expand its reach and impact even further.
