Family of boy who died after being left in day care bus files lawsuit
KPRC is reporting that the family of 3-year-old Raymond “R.J.” Pryer has filed a lawsuit in his wrongful death case. The toddler was left in a day care bus van last month after returning from a field trip with the Discovery Me Academy. He was left in the van for more than four hours and died of heat exhaustion.

Timeless Elegance: Homage to Oscar de la Renta Exhibit Opening and Panel Discussion at the Houston Public Library
Fashion enthusiasts are invited to view the fashion exhibit, Timeless Elegance: Homage to Oscar de la Renta, which showcases winning creations from Fashion Fusion, an annual competition presented by the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston (MFAH) and Houston Community College (HCC), Fashion and Costume Design Department. The panel discussion, which will be moderated by HCC’s Fashion Design Professor Alex Chapman, will be held at Central Library 1st Floor Art Gallery on Sunday, August 19 at 2 PM. The 2018 Bayou City Art Festival Downtown, produced by the Art Colony Association, Inc. (ACA), has selected six local nonprofits that will benefit from a portion of the proceeds of the event. The weekend celebration will be held Saturday-Sunday, October 13-14, 2018, 10 a.m.-6 p.m. and will spotlight 300 artists from around the country representing 19 different disciplines in Downtown Houston.
