Pianist Denis Kozhukhin Returns to Jones Hall to Begin Recording Project
Russian pianist Denis Kozhukhin will return to the Jones Hall stage for Gershwin & Rachmaninoff at 8 p.m. Jan. 27-28 and 2:30 p.m. Jan. 29. Led by Music Director Andrés Orozco-Estrada, the program will kick off with Gershwin’s An American in Paris, followed by John Adams’ Doctor Atomic Symphony. The evening concludes with Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No. 3, which will be recorded for future commercial release.
Governor Abbott Names President And Appoints Six To Texas Medical Board
Governor Greg Abbott has appointed Sherif Zaafran, M.D., Michael Cokinos, Kandace Farmer, D.O., Jeffrey Luna, M.D., LuAnn Morgan and Jayaram Naidu, M.D. to the Texas Medical Board for terms set to expire April 13, 2021. The Governor additionally named Sherif Zaafran, M.D. president of the board.
