Bye Bye
Bye week comes just in time for the Texans to get healthy.
The Houston Texans sit atop of the AFC South with a 6-3 record after going “Across the Pond” to defeat their divisional foe in the Jacksonville Jaguars 26-3. Houston is on a bye this week and it comes at a time when they need it most with all the injuries they have on both sides of the ball.

There is an old saying that I heard growing up that is drenched (no pun intended) in negativity that states, “When it rains it pours.” The original phrase is an old English proverb, “It never rains but it pours,” suggested that when troubles come, they come one after the other.

There will be an old familiar sound on Saturday, October 12th to the students, fans, faculty, and alumni off of 3100 Cleburne Street in Houston, Texas. After playing all their home games since 2012, at BBVA stadium which is home of the MLS Houston Dynamo, the Tigers fans can finally stand on their own campus and scream out this phrase they have been holding in for a while. Football is back!

Through 162 games throughout the 2019 Major League Baseball season, you could feel it coming. Each team watching each other from a far but watching each other none the less. One team is trying to continue to build on a dynasty, while the other is seeking revenge from being eliminated from the 2017 American League Championship Series by that same team.

Some players in the NFL will tell you that there are games throughout the season that they mark on their calendars. Whether it’s a game against their former team, the city where they played their college games, or just an opponent that they feel is a barometer or measuring stick. For the Houston Texans, one of those teams is the Kansas City Chiefs. The Chiefs have propelled themselves into the conversation of one of the top teams in the AFC right next to the New England Patriots. But that didn’t stop the Texans from going into a hostile stadium and to get the victory over the Chiefs.

Explosive innings by the Nationals have the Astros in a 0-2 hole headed into Game 3 of the 2019 World Series.
For the second night in a row, the Houston Astros failed to get any RBI’s (Runs Batted In) while giving up RBI’s (Real Big Innings). The Washington Nationals defeated the Houston Astros, 12-3 to take a commanding 2-0 lead in the 2019 World Series. Only three teams have ever gone down 0-2 at home to come back and win the World Series: 1985 Kansas City Royals, 1986 New York Mets, and the 1996 New York Yankees.
Texans Training Camp 2019 – Day 6
The Texans returned to the practice field on Wednesday after a much-needed day off. Although the players were happy to be off, you could also tell that they missed being in pads as the practice bubble at the Methodist training facility was buzzing before the media was fully able to get inside. Here are a couple of takeaways from day 6 of Texans training camp.

Every New Year I hear the same statement made by individuals who can’t wait for the clock to hit midnight on December 31st. “New Year, New Me” is what they love to scream as they drink their favorite adult beverage. Well, let’s hope that the Houston Texans organization has that same mantra going into next season. Houston ended its season by losing to the Indianapolis Colts 22 – 13 to finish the season with a 4 -12 record and be ranked last in the AFC South due to the two losses to the Colts.
Halfway Home: Rockets Look to Finish What They Have Started
As we approach the midway point in the 2017-18 NBA season, there is one thing that has remained constant throughout the first 56 games of the season. The Houston Rockets are good. Ok, let me repeat myself and add something else to that last statement.

The Houston Texans gave the franchise leader in receiving yards, receptions, and touchdowns, Andre Johnson the best gift he could receive on the official, “Andre Lamont Johnson Day,” a victory. Houston ended a three-game losing streak by defeating the Arizona Cardinals 31-21 in front of a very enthusiastic crowd who came to celebrate with the hometown hero.

For the Houston Rockets, it seems as if their arms are too short to grab consistent victories this season. They dropped another game on Wednesday night losing to the Brooklyn Nets by a score of 120-108 after being up by as much as 18-points at one point during the game.

It must be something about the weather out in California that the Houston Astros enjoy. They have hit a stride early to begin the 2021 Major League Baseball season by going 5-1 on their opening six game road trip against the Oakland A’s and Los Angeles Angels.
Texans success against the Patriots depends on watching the “Ball Hawk”
The Houston Texans and New England Patriots square off this Sunday at NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas in a game that could determine the fate of the 2020 NFL season for both franchises. With one more loss, the Texans would lose any glimmer of hope of making the playoffs, while the Patriots could propel themselves right back into at least a shot at a Wild-Card game.

Prairie View A&M (1-0, 1-0 SWAC) defeated Texas Southern (0-1, 0-1 SWAC) in the Labor Day Classic 20-19 at Panther Stadium. It was the season opener for the Panthers who had a limited home crowd in attendance.

Offensive Inefficiency Extends Texans Losing Streak To Six Games
For a brief moment on Sunday, the Houston Texans fans had something to cheer for. They had stalled the high-powered offense of the undefeated Arizona Cardinals for two drives and gotten a safety on MVP candidate Kyler Murray on the Cardinals' third offensive possession to take a 2-0 lead early in the game. They increased that lead to 5-0 on a 53-yard field goal from Ka’imi Fairbairn.
