This March, Avenida Houston presents The Rink: Rolling at Discovery Green. Houston’s first outdoor roller rink returns for a second season with a new and improved skating surface, colorful lighting and fun weekly programming. The rink opens on Friday, March 2 and will be open daily through Sunday, March 25. Admission is $8 per person or $10 for the online fast past, plus $4 for skate rental.

On Thursday, February 15, the Harvey Arts Recovery Fund (HARF) will open up applications for their second round of grants geared towards Houston artists and art organizations in need of disaster assistance. This announcement comes on the heels of the recent news that HARF awarded more than $40,000 to local artists and arts, heritage and cultural organizations who suffered personal and professional losses due to Hurricane Harvey.
