Free Bus Shuttle Service To Continue for Downtown Portions of Red Line
This evening Houston Fire Department officials notified METRO that new structural concerns were discovered at the downtown building damaged by Thursday's multi-alarm fire. The building, located at the intersection of Main St. and Walker St., sits adjacent to the Red Line's Main Street Square Northbound platform. As a safety precaution, METRO will continue the suspension of rail service from the Downtown Transit Center to the Burnett Transit Center. This is expected to last through tomorrow afternoon, possibly longer.

As with all recent November general elections, METRO is providing complimentary trips to polling locations in our service area. Voters can ride at no charge on METRORail, local buses, and METROLift.

The Astros are on the brink of going back to their second World Series within the last three years. Houston (3-1) got a much needed and some might think unexpected victory on last night by beating the New York Yankees (1-3) in Game 4 of the American League Championship Series (ALCS) by a score of 8-3. Houston will now send their ace, Justin Verlander to the mound in Game 5 to try and close out the series, while the Yankees will start James Paxton to stave off elimination.

The Rockets looked jet lagged from the time spent in Japan playing two preseason games against the reigning NBA Champions, Toronto Raptors.
